Poolside or portside?

Calling Planet Earth: Travel Notes from Rhonda. Where Adventure Knows No Bounds.

Welcome back to the planet!

Same beach chair tomorrow, or a different view from the ship? That’s a vacation decision I can get behind. If you’re torn between an all-inclusive resort and a cruise, start with how you want your days to feel.

Poolside: settle in

A resort gives you one home base: find your favorite breakfast spot, wander down to the beach, repeat as desired. At Sandals, meals, top-shelf drinks, snorkeling, entertainment, Wi-Fi and round-trip airport transfers are all part of the stay. Your biggest decision? Pool first or beach first.

Portside: keep exploring

A cruise lets you unpack once while the scenery changes, with time ashore shaped by the itinerary. Royal Caribbean includes your cabin, complimentary dining and entertainment; specialty restaurants, many drinks, Wi-Fi and excursions can add to the bill. Inclusions vary by cruise line and fare.

Before comparing prices, let’s count flights, transfers, tips and the little treats you’ll actually want. Give me a shout, and let’s curate your perfect cruise vacation.

Spotlight On… A day at sea

No port to race off to. Think a leisurely breakfast, a book by the pool, or an afternoon of onboard activities. Lovely if you enjoy the ship itself. If exploring ashore is your favorite part, check how many sea days are on the itinerary before choosing your sailing.

Are you team resort or team cruise? Tell me your pick—or tell me you’re happily undecided. We’ll figure it out together.

See you next Saturday,
Rhonda ♡
