Welcome back to the planet!
Would you take a window seat with a view of Earth? Now that would give the camera roll something to brag about. This week, let’s dream a little bigger—and leave room for a cozy getaway under the stars.
What’s already taken flight?
Private astronaut missions are real: Axiom Mission 4 completed its trip to the International Space Station in July 2025. That’s a remarkable milestone, though a research mission is quite a different adventure from checking into a resort.
What’s still ahead? In its January announcement, Axiom targeted Mission 5 for no earlier than January 2027. That’s a planned mission, not a guaranteed departure. I’ll keep watching where travel goes next. For now, a blanket and a big sky sound pretty wonderful, too.
Spotlight On… A night under the stars
Build a weekend around a dark-sky escape: a comfortable stay, an unhurried dinner, then time to look up. The National Park Service recommends checking weather, moonlight and local night-sky programs before you go. Pack warm layers and a red-light flashlight to help preserve night vision. A little planning makes the evening better.
More telescope than rocket ship? Give me a shout—let’s find your kind of starry-eyed getaway. And send this to the friend who always says, “We should go somewhere.”
See you next Saturday,
