Welcome back to the planet!
You know that group chat where everyone says, “We should take a trip”? Let’s give it something better than another thumbs-up. With the holidays on the horizon, this is a lovely time to start dreaming about a getaway together—even if the suitcases won’t come out until next year.
Start with the people
Before choosing a destination, ask everyone for three things: a comfortable budget, a realistic date range, and one thing they would love to do. A slow breakfast counts. So does an afternoon with absolutely nothing on the calendar.
Then pick one shared priority. Maybe it’s celebrating a birthday, spending time with the grandkids, or finally getting the friends together. Let that guide the trip, instead of trying to squeeze everyone’s entire wish list into one weekend.
And please leave a little breathing room. You can love your travel companions and still want an hour with your book. Together time feels sweeter when nobody has to attend every activity.
Spotlight On… The shared table
Try making one meal the anchor of each day. Everyone can explore at their own pace, then meet for dinner and swap stories. When we plan, tell me about food preferences, mobility needs and the pace your group enjoys. Those details help shape a trip that feels welcoming to everyone.
Who belongs in your next vacation photo? Give me a shout—let’s get that group-chat getaway onto the calendar.
See you next Saturday,
Rhonda ♡
